1) I consider the major mistake I made was becoming a member of too many home business programs at once. I found myself caught up in the hype of all these various techniques and how much money they advertised could be earned, so I figured if I hooked up as many as I could, I could make more cash. 2) When I initially got started, I had a hard time discovering a business opportunity with a reputable product or service that consumers required or wanted. I tried numerous lotions and potions Internet advertising businesses and organizations, but I just could not feel right about pushing vitamins on individuals when I could not get good results by taking them myself. If you don't have confidence in in the goods, you won't succeed. I got stuck there with an attic full of old vitamins and juices and never made revenue. There are a lot of imaginative services or products out now that I advertise that either save people money or helps them invest for the future. These are the types of network marketing products I can feel very good about.
3) I spent so much money on Internet marketing companies that guaranteed a million hits to my internet sites or guaranteed referrals into my business opportunities. I realized the difficult way because I always wanted to believe that what these services were presenting was trustworthy. I soon learned that most of them were scams. If the company offers something that looks too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
4) By no means spam whenever email marketing. I have not been guilty of this, but I know a number of my peers that got in some trouble and some even ended up in jail due to spamming. Spamming is the major no-no when marketing anything online.
5) Make sure you are a good self-motivator. If you are staying in your home all day, sometimes it takes a lot of self-motivation and energy to work. The TV and couch seem to constantly call your name. Treat your internet business like it is a full time occupation and stay off the sofa until it is quitting time.
